Integrating dotDefender with cPanel
Integrating dotDefender with cPanel
Solution
When installing dotDefender on a server running cPanel, dotDefender installation might not have sufficient permissions on the /tmp directory. The installation may be executed using a different temporary directory. For example:
TMPDIR=/root/tempdotDefender/ sh ./dotDefender.Linux.i386.rpm.bin
When installation completes and Apache has been restarted, an integration script must be executed. The script is found at:
/usr/local/APPCure/integration/cpanel/integration.sh
Execute the integration script as follows:
sh /usr/local/APPCure/integration/cpanel/integration.sh
Finally, to manage dotDefender, in the cPanel administration website, browse on the left toolbar to the Plugins section and click on dotDefender WHM admin.
