Knowledgebase: dotDefender for IIS
How to change the default error page shown by dotDefender when a request is blocked?
Posted by - NA - on 22 January 2008 05:03 PM

  1. Select the Security Profile for which you would like to change the default error page.

  2. On the right pane, select "Error Page".

  3. Select one of the following:

    • Select Custom if you would like to select a custom page located on your server. Click on the Browse button and select the page you would like dotDefender to display to the attacker's browser. This page must be located in the wwwroot or a subdirectory, since these directories have sufficient permissions for the IIS.

    • Select Redirect to URL to instruct dotDefender to redirect the user to a full URL path. In this case, no error page will be displayed.

  4. Press on the Apply Settings (Green arrow) button in the top toolbar, for settings to take effect.
